Icinga-web 1.4.0: Internal exeption

Guten Tag,

ich habe Icinga auf 1.4.0 aktualisiert. (Backup Gottseidank vorhanden)
- icinga-core - icinga-idoutils (incl. mysql update) - icinga-web (incl. mysqldb)

Quellcode

1
Zeile 18:  public static function phpErrorException($errno, $errstr, $errfile, $errline, array $errcontext = array()) {Zeile 19:                   $string = sprintf('PHP Error %s (%s:%d)', $errstr, $errfile, $errline);Zeile 20:                        self::logException(new AppKitPHPError($string, $errno));

tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log gibt folgendes heraus:
--

I am encountering the same problem with Icinga-Web 1.4.0 on a fresh install of Icinga with NDOUtils. Debug levels at maximum on httpd and Icinga and I don't see anything in either log to indicate a problem. My situation matches the original poster's exactly, except that I can't even log in to Icinga-Web. The Classic UI works fine.

Did you have the same problem on 1.3.x?

Which OS do you use?
I had the Problem with an upgrade from1.3 to 1.4 on a CentOs.
I had to update some dependencies manually (e.g. perl and php) because CentOs had only old versions installed.
After that i had to delete manually the AD users in the Web-Access to get them back to the Web Access. The Classic Interface worked fine.
The Classic Access uses the .htpaccess and the Web-Access uses AD here.

CentOS 5.6, fully patched. I fought with package versions and dependencies for a while before installing PHP 5.2 from the CentOS Testing repository:

I haven't integrated Icinga-Web with our Active Directory infrastructure yet. I'm just trying to log in with the default credentials for the first time.

Icinga-API is in the default location and populated with files: /usr/local/icinga/share/icinga-api

databases.xml contains accurate connection strings.

Credentials for icinga and icinga_web user are valid, grants are valid, and I can manually connect to their respective DBs using their credentials via interactive command prompt.

make testdeps output is in a previous post, above.

icinga-io.xml and icinga-io.site.xml contain accurate connection strings which have been manually tested.

i was referring to icingaWebtesting.php in etc/tests too. anything strange in there?

even more, can you get the latest git master from https://git.icinga.org/?p=icinga-web.git;a=summary and retest that? there have been several fixes already, maybe your issue is already resolved?

This is super awesome because php-pecl-json, a dependency of php-pear-PHPUnit, conflicts with php-common.

Thats why i downloaded php 5.3.6 manually and deinstalled all CentOs originals phps before installing the new one. That helped me with the php-common problem

I've tried manually installing the PHP 5.3.6 RPMs, and also installing from the Webtatic and Remi repositories with no joy. There's always some other dependency getting clobbered when I try to install php-pear-PHPUnit. I blew away all PHP packages and reinstalled from CentOS-Testing, also installing php-pear-PHPUnit from EPEL. When I launch the icingaWebTesting.php script I get the following:

This is the closest to success that I've been able to achieve with the testing script. Still nothing in the logs, by the way.

I'd really like to use the Icinga-Web frontend and find it hard to believe that there aren't more explicit (and successful) installation steps for such a popular distro like CentOS 5. At this point I'm ready to give up and wait for CentOS 6 to come around unless anyone has more ideas.

rhel / centos from the 5.x tree uses rather ancient software base packages. there isn't a recommended repository which fits "best", it's just a hint in the docs for users who don't know how to build their own versions out of pcre / php in case the overall php 5.1.6 fails. the dependencies as such are as detailed as they could be - having the packages available, it's working on a rhel 5.6 e.g.

some might ofc say that this isn't enough but all those having it installed successfully, are always invitied to provide feedback, guides, howtos, etc. it's merely a redhat problem to be fixed deep down at system level probably. and that centos 6 takes ages to get released, is another story of its own.
